On December 31, 2020, Adobe will permanently end support for the Flash Player. From this point on, the product life cycle (EOL) has ended, new versions or updates will no longer be released. In this article, we’ll take a look at what a Windows administrator needs to know about Flash Player end of support.

Since 2017, Adobe has encouraged all developers to migrate their existing Flash projects to the open formats HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly. The transition period ends at the end of this year and on December 31, Adobe will remove the Flash Player download page from its site.

Microsoft will ban Flash in Edge and IE for all versions of Windows by the end of 2020. Firefox and Chrome developers also disable Flash Player support in the latest versions.
